Physics 30 Forces Exam

Here are a couple of applets that may help with the studying.

Law of Universal Gravitation: HERE Try changing the distance between the objects to see what it does to the Force. Try changing the mass too!

Forces including the frictional forces: HERE In this applet, keep increasing the applied force until the object begins to move. You can then decrease the applied force and it will continue to move. Why is that? What is the relationship between kinetic and static friction? If you increase the object's mass, what does that do to the necessary applied force?

The exam will be on Thursday, May 10. The topics covered will begin at Newton's Laws. The other topics covered are Gravitation, Mass/Weight, Friction, Free Fall, and Momentum. You can find the review answers here: PAGE 1 PAGE 2

On Wednesday, May 9 we will write a Practice Exam in class to assess if you are ready for the exam. Here are the answers: PRAC EXAM

Please, if you are having any trouble at all, see me immediately! I want to be able to help you prepare for the exam, but I am away from school on Monday and Tuesday, so please see me ASAP.

Good luck!
