Happenings of Friday

Since I was away on Friday, I thought I should fill everyone in on what is happening.

Physics 20 - you should have the questions from p. 226 #3-5 and p. 231 #4-6 complete. The Expansion Problems sheet is also due on Monday.

Math A30 - on Friday you covered Percentiles. On Monday we will go over anything that you may not have understood. We will also begin chapter 3. On Tuesday is our Data Analysis Open Book Exam. You will use Graphing Calculators as well.

Math 20 - you covered factoring Trinomial Squares. On Monday we can look at any problems with with the assignment and then we will complete a hand-in assignment. We should have an exam by the end of the week.

Answer Keys for Reviews

Here are the answer keys to your reviews.

Remember, to get your bonus mark you must complete the review with work shown AND have it signed by your parent/guardian. You must hand it in BEFORE the exam!

Physics 20 Review HERE
  • Exam Format will be very similar to review. There will be parts A-H just like the review. All answers will be short answer/written. No multiple choice or anything like that.

Math 20 Review HERE (scroll down to 2nd page)

  • Exam format will be similar to the review, except the exam will be split up into more sections. There are absolute value, reducing roots, adding/subtracting, and multiplying/dividing sections; these sections are all labelled. The exam is out of 61 marks. I will provide you with a perfect squares table. Also, there are a five marks devoted to definitions; you should be aware of the few terms that we covered in this chapter.

Math A30 Review HERE

  • Exam format will be 8 multiple choice questions. These questions deal with the process needed for different questions as well as classifying systems. Then there is a question for each method we learned (excluding graphing calculators). After that there are 2 questions with rational coefficients and also a word problem. There is a total of 29 marks (remember only 8 of these come from the multiple choice).

You should complete this review on your own and then check your answers. Based on my experience, your studying will be much more effective that way. Make sure to correct any questions you get wrong. If you can't get it, see me Friday morning between 8:15-9:00 AM!
